![]() |
Finally its here, the App Store has launched! To use it, download iTunes 7.7 and once you have installed or upgraded it you will be able to access the App Store at this link. You can download the Apps on iTunes now, but we all will have to wait for the iPhone 2.0 software update release to actually use them, which is supposed to happen either today or tomorrow morning!
Right now there are 27 pages of applications available, 7 pages are FREE Apps. The following Apps where the ones that where the most intriguing for me at the moment:

Facebook - duh, got to check it out - maybe it will give me a reason to get social on the web.
Pandora Radio - If you ever get used to this, you never go back. I found so many new artists that I would never had come along through this great tool.
The Remote, reQall and YPmobile - well, just would like to check it out and see if it is worth my memory usage.

Kitegen - Wind Generator of the future ?
Based on Kitegen’s current evaluations, their wind generators would have a much lower electric energy production cost than any of the current wind farms and would be able to generate up to 250 MW/km2, (vs. the current 3 MW/km2).
Its amazing to think that kiteboarding kites could revolution the windpower future - but actually just a few years back when I was just learning how to kite, ant the kite went into the death spin - it was pretty clear to me how much power this kite technology is capable of. View the prototype test video.

TinEye - find out who is using your image
is an image search engine, still in beta & invite only. You are able to upload an image and find out who uses your image on the web. It is so accurate that it even is able to find images that are modified versions of the original one - pretty impressive.
Alien visiting during nighttime - The Video
Is this the video that is supposed to proove the existence of Aliens? Sorry but this won’t cut it, one peak in the window and we are supposed to believe. Please give me some stronger evidence, some that can be taken more serious.
From the Rocky Mountain News’ liveblog:
The film shows a window, reportedly 8 feet off the ground in a rural Nebraska town in 2003.
In the enhanced version of the video, a creature pops up in the window, looks around, and pops back down, again and again.
“It looks like the quintessential Gray, right out of E.T.,” Scheiber [a skeptic] said.
Audience members wanted to know why the creature traveled all those light years just to peep in a window.
Yes, it would be good to know why they didn’t knock on the window!
