iPhone App Store Has Launched
![]() |
Finally its here, the App Store has launched! To use it, download iTunes 7.7 and once you have installed or upgraded it you will be able to access the App Store at this link. You can download the Apps on iTunes now, but we all will have to wait for the iPhone 2.0 software update release to actually use them, which is supposed to happen either today or tomorrow morning!
Right now there are 27 pages of applications available, 7 pages are FREE Apps. The following Apps where the ones that where the most intriguing for me at the moment:

Facebook – duh, got to check it out – maybe it will give me a reason to get social on the web.
Pandora Radio – If you ever get used to this, you never go back. I found so many new artists that I would never had come along through this great tool.
The Remote, reQall and YPmobile – well, just would like to check it out and see if it is worth my memory usage.
3G IPhone – Video Chat?
Based on Kevin Rose the new iPhones are supposed to have a video chat option?
Update: June 9th – Will the new 3G iPhone be black, and have a front side camera?
Avvenu – Access your your files from your iPhone & others

iPhone SDK Screenshots
I just saw the first Screenshots on iPhone Atlas. Just like in my prior mentioned iPhone SDK post – jailbreak procedure members like Nicholas “Drudge” Penree will make sure to use this new SDK creatively. View more Images here >>
iPhone SDK – June 08
|
The "Jailbreak" driving force is: Information seeks freedom!
And since Apple announced today that they are going to deny unlocked iPhones to access the SDK / iTunes Store it is clear that this dark cloud will gain more strength in the future.
Based on what I read on the net this morning it looks as though no applications will be released to the users until June 08, but the developers can stard building them now – nice way of buying more time. The developer is able to join the program at developer.apple.com for $99. The application limits are: No Porn, Nothing illegal, No bandwidth hogs!
The business deal is that the developer sets the sell price and gets 70% revenue share on each sale. No credit card fees and payout is monthly. The App Store is the exclusive way to distribute your iPhone applications. Users will be able to browse applications, search or then download any App wireless to the phone.
